In June 2004 KCM International organised a two week training program with New South Global on behalf of the India Ministry of Environment and Forests (MOEF) - World Bank EMCBTA Project: Mining sub-component. The project client was the Indian School of Mines under contract with MWH Global, USA.

          The objective was to expose 40 key Indian staff members of MOEF, mining industry, and resource institutions to the know-how and knowledge of international mining and environmental experts to enhance Indian expertise in the Planning, Design, and Implementation of Environmentally Benign Designs and Development and Monitoring Compliance of Policies Standards, and Environmental Management Plans in the non-coal sector.
