Passport to Australian Mining Industry

I am a Chinese international student and am currently studying in the School of Mining Engineering at UNSW for my Master’s of Mining Engineering degree. UNSW is the most famous university in Australia especially in the Faculty of Engineering. With a very high reputation, the School of Mining Engineering is regarded as the most outstanding school in Australian Mining industry.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, I enrolled in the Masters program in July, 2007. I have finished 3 courses till date. During this period, I got a great opportunity to get the highest quality of education and meet lots of professional engineers. First of all, all the teaching staff in the  School are professionals both in theory and experience. The content of the course is always updated and encourages students to analyse real projects. Furthermore, most of the students are experienced engineers who are from minesites. This makes the course more interesting and challenging.  I do feel pressure and some difficulties during the course with these experts because of my lack of work experience. However, this is the best way to learn more and encourage myself to do the best I can.

I recently got a job in Australia as a mining engineer for the purpose of getting work experience and learning the world’s most advanced mining technology. Australia is the most famous mining country in the world and UNSW Mining Engineering is the best school in this discipline.
